Emma Mitchell

Emma studied architecture at Manchester School of Architecture specialising in Bioclimatic Design, graduating in 2007 and qualifying as a chartered Architect in 2008. Prior to joining UNIT Architects in May 2015 Emma gained a broad spectrum of experience in many architectural sectors including education, commercial, research and residential. Whilst working at Sheppard Robson Emma had the opportunity to work on an RIBA award winning scheme, The Small Animal Teaching Hospital in Liverpool, and at Ellis Williams Architects one of the many schools Emma worked on gained praise at the British Council Schools Environment national awards. Emma’s commercial experience at both HKR and Sheppard Robson also saw recognition from the British Council Offices. Since qualifying Emma has actively worked with younger members of the industry as both a mentor and visiting critic at Liverpool University.  Emma’s more recent work in the residential sector has included working for a high end residential developer and contractor in East London.
