Nick Learoyd

Architect
Nick graduated from the Manchester School of Architecture in 2010 and qualified as a registered Architect in 2014.
After working at practices in Manchester and Birmingham, Nick moved to London in 2011 to join Cousins Wojciechowski Architects, working on a selection of super-prime residential projects within central London. Prior to joining UNIT Architects in January 2017, Nick worked for Cousins & Cousins Architects since the inception of the practice in 2012, working on a range of residential projects from feasibility through to completion. Nick was Project Architect on a number of key projects for the practice including the refurbishment and change of use of an 18th Century Grade II listed Sir Robert Taylor house in Westminster, the Vegetarian Cottage in Hackney which was shortlisted for the NLA’s Don’t Move Improve award in 2014 and, most recently, a lightweight glue-laminated extension to a family home in Hackney which was featured in the Architects Visions For London exhibition in the 2016 London Design Festival.
Nick also has experience working in the higher education sector, having worked on a new medical teaching faculty for the University of Leicester and a postgraduate centre for University College Birmingham.
